The Best Cricket Balls Reviewed

Cricket Balls Reviewed

Having the best cricket balls reviewed, should take away some of the guesswork when looking to buy a cricket ball. After all, cricket balls look the same, so what makes one worth £120 and another only £10? There are a number of leading brands that dominate the market in the UK but, are their cricket balls the best value? There have been many cricket balls reviewed by us over the years and some brands are clearly manufacturing superior quality balls. However, they do often come with a premium price tag.

Training cricket balls are available in many different types of materials and are not exclusively available in leather. The training balls we have probably all heard of are Windballs and Incrediballs but there are many more available. These types of cricket balls are great for varying coaching sessions and for high repetition coaching drills.

What Cricket Brands Are The Best?

Knowing which cricket brands are the best is dependent on what product you are looking to purchase. For example, Dukes Cricket is arguably the producer of the best quality cricket balls but I would look elsewhere for bats and pads. GM (Gunn & Moore) manufacture cricket bats in Nottingham to a very high standard. Readers (owned by Kookaburra) manufacture a great range of cricket balls, especially at the cheaper end of the market. Kookaburra spend huge sums on worldwide marketing and sponsorship, so are probably the best known global brand. Kookaburra cricket balls are used by many cricket boards including Australia, New Zealand and Sounth Africa, amongst others. GN (Gray Nicholls) is best known for quality bats and protective equipment.
